It is believed the arsons were started by accelerant being sprayed into the back of the targeted vehicles.
The incidents started around 11.30pm on Friday night and lasted for about three hours.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Enquires are still ongoing and anyone who has information relating to these arsons is urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1327 of 7 October, or to alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
