It's not easy to feel much cheer at the moment, but one household in Nether Edge is trying to brighten up the community with some half-term Easter fun.
Mihaela Veronica Popovia has decked out the home she shares with her son Alexandru on South View Crescent with huge inflatables, a bubble machine and coloured lights.

Mihaela, 46 said: “We had a big display up at Christmas with artificial snow and also at Halloween and this week I decided to put an Easter one up. It’s not for us, it’s for the children.
"With the corononavirus they can’t take the kids very far to anything – it isn’t much but the children really enjoy it.
“I have grandsons and I haven't been able to see them for five months can’t see them because they are in France with Alexandre my other son.”

Hide AdMihaela had to repair the display after it was attacked by vandals last night. “One of my neighbours told me his six year old daughter was crying because Mickey Mouse had gone.
"I had to take them back inside and put them out again later.
But when he looked again and saw he had been fixed he told her: “You see if you are good he will come back.”
