Prince Philip, the longtime companion of Queen Elizabeth II has passed away on Friday morning aged 99, Buckingham Palace has announced.
Throughout his royal duties, he had accompanied the Queen on many visits to South Yorkshire, including her Jubilee tours.
Here we look back on some of his memorable visits to Sheffield as the nation mourns the loss.
