Paperwork relating to children at Little Puffins childcare was found by a farmer at the entrance to his field near Sprotbrough over the weekend and has now been passed to the police.
Now the firm’s former owner has come forward to apologise and says she paid a company on Facebook to remove the rubbish from her home.

“I would just like to get across how utterly awful I feel about this and I am absolutely and utterly against fly tipping.”
She says she contacted Doncaster based firm L&C Rubbish Removals on Facebook and paid £40 for the rubbish to be collected.
She added: “Their Facebook page says that these people are fully licensed so I stupidly went ahead with this.

“I had absolutely no idea of the fly tipping incident until a friend sent me the link via Facebook.
“I closed my business in 2017 due to my daughter’s Illness which sadly left her disabled.
“When I closed, I organised and cleared away any paperwork and I honestly did not know that there could be anything left in these files.

Farmer Tim Braithwaite found the paperwork at the entrance to one of his fields in Cadeby Lane near Sprotbrough on Saturday.
Among the rubbish was a white folder marked “contracts and child records.”
On discovering the folders, Mr Braithwaite contacted South Yorkshire Police and Doncaster Council and the rubbish – which also contained a number of children’s toys – was swiftly removed.
We have contacted L&C Rubbish Removals for comment.
