But bosses John and Fiona Raper wanted to make a positive contribution during the coronavirus crisis – handing over 80 litres of hand sanitiser.

“I asked about the DRI’s supplies of hand sanitiser and if they were in need of extra supplies, as a good friend and colleague of ours was producing it. The offer was not turned down. As a result Brittains ordered and donated 80 litres of hand sanitiser to Doncaster Royal Infirmary.”
Mr Raper started the business 15 years ago after his wife Fiona made raspberry vodka at their Sprotbrough home.
He said: “I took the vodka out on a shoot and it was a hit - people wanted to buy it.”

The firm uses Yorkshire raspberries from local fruit producers in Tickhill, Doncaster for its signature product but experimentation with flavours and Mr Raper’s vision for expanding the product range has led to an extensive range of new flavours and the brand has even featured in TV sitcom Still Open All Hours.
