People asked to get crafty and make scarecrows ahead of Doncaster festival
From children’s film characters to celebrities; children and adults are been asked to use their imaginations and put their craft skills to good use to make a scarecrow to be used as part of the Flourish Enterprises annual scarecrow festival.
The scarecrows will go on show in The Walled Garden, at Woodfield Park, which is part of Flourish Enterprises, a social enterprise in Doncaster.

Hide AdPaul Kendrew-Jones, of Flourish Enterprises, said he was pleased to see the festival had grown in popularity over the years, with more and more people taking part.
He said: “Our scarecrow display is fast becoming a local tradition and we can’t wait to see the many different designs.
“It is a family event so we are looking for sensible scarecrows only please. If you’d like to see your scarecrow on view in our garden please get in touch.”
If you would like to make a scarecrow for the festival, it will need to be completed in time to go on show when the festival opens on Saturday October 27.

Hide AdThe scarecrows should be freestanding and, once completed, they should be taken to The Walled Garden in the grounds of St Catherine’s House, DN4 8QP. Scarecrows must be taken to the house by October 26.
