Parkwood raising funds for hospice
Staff and students at the school, led by community liaison manager Paul Howard, have been raising funds for the Sheffield hospice all year, by hosting cake sales, community meals and winter and summer fairs. This latest milestone brings the total amount raised to a stagerring £14,000.
St Luke’s community fundraising manager, Clare Robinson, said: “This is a fantastic effort by everyone at the Parkwood Academy.

St Luke’s Hospice cares for people aged 18 and above throughout Sheffield with terminal illnesses. They aim to control their symptoms, alleviate pain, and give them the best possible quality of life – all free of charge. Less than a third of their funding comes from the NHS, and each year they need to raise around £6.1 million to continue their work.
