Order to protect trees in city suburb
Sheffield City Council looks set to impose a preservation order on ten mature trees after it was discovered that trees were being felled in a city suburb.
A report to the authority’s planning and highways committee states that a number of mature trees had been felled on land off Carter Knowle Road.
It states: “On inspection, felling operations had recently ceased and the majority of trees in the interior of the site had been removed.”
