Protecting the pets
The Animal Protection Agency reports that dealers, pretending to be private individuals selling their own pets, illegally cover the length and breadth of the country selling stressed, sick and suffering birds, reptiles, rabbits and puppies. No licences are needed. Trade is unregulated, law unenforced, suffering guaranteed.
The APA is campaigning for the Government to introduce licensing so that councils can stamp out the dealers.
