New era for Castlegate
As for the laughable quote about the “fabulous market development” it’s a shed at the bottom of the Moor, no atmosphere, no zing, no traders, no customers, it’s an absolute joke.
In the early 1990s the markets made this city millions of pounds per year, but the council refused to put any of this money back into it and let it run down. This is why traders and customers fell away, and by the way Mr Mothersole, there was no ‘might’ be a castle under it (the market) we were showing archaeology students around the ruins before he was born.
