Hundreds raised for Hedgehog Hospital
The popular tourist attraction, in North Anston, donated the £767 collection to Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity’s Hedgehog Hospital, which treated 562 hedgehogs from April 2015 to March 2015.
The hospital, based at Shepreth Wildlife Park, is expecting as many as 600 hedgehogs to be admitted in the next financial year. The hedgehogs, either orphaned, sick, injured or underweight, are commonly brought to the hospital by members of the public, where they are nurtured back to health before being released back into the wild.

“We raised the funds with generous donations from our visitors at various Christmas events and at the centre’s daily Animal and Bird Shows. We would like to thank them for their support.”
