Fantastic potato peeler
Mr Edley who ran it in the 1980s, supplied my Famous Sheffield Shop.
He was an honourable bloke, typical of those found in the thousands of factories in the light trades.

Hide AdHe made mostly kitchen tools with brass-riveted rosewood handles, but the best seller in my Ecclesall Road shop by far, was the humble little two-blade potato peeler, with wooden handle, secured by orange cord wrapped tightly round.
I didn’t realise how good these were until he retired and closed the firm down, and customers told me the foreign ‘lookalikes’ they bought elsewhere were rubbish.
We still use one of his, re-strung, as best I can, every five years or so.
