Nora and Dotty, a pair of distinctive Kunekune pigs, escaped from a trailer in Doncaster yesterday while they were being transported to an animal sanctuary.
And while Nora was caught in a field near Tickhill, the hunt goes on for Dotty, who is pregnant.

A spokesman said in a Facebook post: “We have recovered one of the pigs, from a sugarbeet field between Tickhill and Wadworth, near to the primary school.
“Can we ask you please to keep eyes peeled.
“The pregnant one Dotty, is still missing and she is very friendly so don’t be afraid of her.
“As soon as we get any sightings we will be straight over. Tonight, we feel she has nested up somewhere.
“So chuffed we have one, Nora loaded and on way home.”

“Can we please also ask people who frequent this area to continue to remain vigilant. Let’s find Dotty.”
When the new owners arrived at their destination, yesterday they found the trailer on the back of their vehicle was empty.
A post said: “We never stopped in our journey other than at junctions or lights. But on arriving home our pig trailer was empty.”

It is not clear if the pigs were removed from the trailer by others, or escaped when it was at a standstill.
The trailer passed through Goldthorpe, Spotborough, Wadworth, Tickhill and Bawtry before heading to Gainsborough and the search has been narrowed down to the Tickhill area.
Anyone with information about the incident, or the whereabouts of Dotty can contact Sunflower Park via their Facebook page or on email at [email protected] or via telephone on 07800882743.
