Two men have been sentenced for their roles in burglaries at a café and bar in Barnsley.
Aaron Cowles, 31, of Denby Way in Rotherham, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (June 3) charged with one count of commercial burglary and one count of attempted burglary.
Appearing alongside him was Craig Smith, 30, of Honeywell Street in Barnsley- he was charged with one count of commercial burglary and one count of attempted burglary.
Both men pleaded guilty and were sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for one year.
They were also placed on a curfew and both ordered to wear a tag.
The offences took place at a bar and café in Barnsley on May 25 of this year.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said that a 21-year-old woman has also been charged in connection with the incidents.
