South Yorkshire Police said that most green spaces visited on the bank holiday patrols yesterday were deserted, but the off-road bike team conducting the patrols found a group playing basketball in Millhouses Park.
The force said: “We are happy to report that for a hot bank holiday Friday, many of the green spaces we visited, for example Manor Fields and Graves Park, were very quiet.

“This has been a repeat issue at the park.
“The orange fencing and signage clearly indicates that the court is shut. Please do not use it while the guidelines are in place.”
