South Yorkshire Police today said enhanced patrols would remain in place in Grenoside and Heeley throughout the bank holiday weekend.
Sheffield Superintendent Melanie Palin said: "I can understand how concerning these incidents are to members of our community and would like to reassure you that extensive enquiries are taking place into both incidents.
"You will see an enhanced, high-visibility police presence in the two areas throughout the bank holiday weekend."While investigations are in their early stages, we believe these incidents to be linked to organised criminal groups."It's not acceptable for local people to have to tolerate this sort of criminality in their communities.
