Vehicles seized in police day of action in Sheffield suburbs

Last Thursday officers from the Sheffield South East Neighbourhood Team and the roads policing team concentrated on Woodhouse and Westfield.
South Yorkshire Police said officers ‘identified several motorists committing a variety of offences’.

Hide AdFour vehicles were seized for having no insurance and two for having no tax.
As part of the operation a vehicle ‘linked to serious crime’ in another police force area was spotted, the car was stopped and an arrest was made.
South Yorkshire Police said: “We identified a host of offences including defective tyres, using a mobile phone whilst driving and even one arrest for driving whilst over the prescribed limit.
“Vehicle-enabled crime is something which we are focusing more and more.
