Officers were assisted by a member of the Roma community while out on patrol in the Fir Vale area last night in a bid to educate those who continue to ignore the pleas to stay indoors during lockdown.
It comes after the Firth Park Neighborhood Network urged the police to enforce the law much more stringently after claiming that large gangs of Roma men and women in the streets around Page Hall were breaching the restrictions on a daily basis.
