Police plane spotted circling above Sheffield
and live on Freeview channel 276
The plane was seen doing four laps around the Greenhill and Jordanthorpe area of the city on Thursday, May 7, between around 8.30pm and 9.30pm, flying at just under 3,000 feet.
The flight-tracking website radarbox.com showed it was a Vulcanair P 68R Victor, which is one of the new fleet of planes operated by the National Police Air Service.

Hide AdThe black-and-yellow aircraft have become an increasingly common sight above the city after being delivered last year and joining the existing fleet of helicopters in assisting police forces.
The NPAS has said they are used for tasks including searching for missing people and stolen vehicles, and for firearms and public order incidents.
