A man was arrested on suspicion of carrying a knife at Asda in Walkley yesterday evening (March 28).
A statement from South Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called shortly before 6.30pm after the man, understood to have been refused entry to the store, began to make threats and assaulted a member of staff.
“A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, assault and public order offences.”
Under lockdown supermarkets are allowing limited numbers of customers in stores at a time.
