“A cordon remains at the property and this evening officers will be carrying out extra patrols.
“We believe Mr Appicella was involved in an incident prior to his death on Tuesday, December 3 near to the Go Local Shop in Hickleton Street, Denaby. We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this or was in the area at the time.
"I would like to offer my reassurance to the public that this was a targeted attack and we do not believe there to be a risk to the wider community.”
