Anti-social behaviour on a Sheffield estate is making a mum-to-be terrified of spending time in her own home.

Dominique Wilson is 34 years old and 26 weeks pregnant, but says her Harborough Avenue flat in Manor Park has become impossible to live in.

She says the issue is mainly noise nuisance, but that she has also had her flat’s letter-box vandalised and been verbally threatened, all within the last 12 months.

And she says that despite reporting the problems to Together Housing many times, the housing association refuse to do anything about it and have effectively said she has to put up with it.

“I am trying to move but I shouldn’t have to be forced out of my own home,” she said.

"I pay my rent and I am a good tenant but it feels like they can do anything and there are no consequences.

“It starts in the early evening and can go on until 5 o'clock in the morning.

“If this was a Sheffield Council property it would have been dealt with a long time ago.”

Dominique says the problem has got so bad that she sometimes sleeps at her aunty’s house to get away from the noise.
