‘A real character with a big personality’: University pays tribute to murdered student stabbed in Sheffield

Isaiah Usen-Satchell, who studied business at Leeds Trinity University, was found seriously injured on St Aidan's Road, Norfolk Park, Sheffield in the early hours of Wednesday, January 1.
He suffered slash wounds to his arms and legs and was taken to hospital but an injury to his wrist proved fatal.

Hide AdProfessor Margaret House, the vice-chancellor at Leeds Trinity University, paid tribute to Isaiah after being informed of his death.
She said: "We are incredibly shocked and saddened at the sad loss of one of our students, Isaiah.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and many friends at this extremely difficult time.
"Isaiah joined the University in September to study Business and had such a presence on campus and in class.

"A Book of Condolence for Isaiah will be available in the University Chapel for students and staff to write messages for Isaiah’s family."
Arrests have been made over the murder but nobody has yet been charged.
A large police cordon remains in place around the crime scene today while detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
