Commuters delayed after fire extinguisher goes off on train in South Yorkshire station
Commuters were delayed this morning after an automatic fire extinguisher went off on a train at a South Yorkshire station.
The Northern Rail train was at Chapeltown railway station when the extinguisher went off above the engines this morning.
It is not yet known what triggered the extinguisher but when firefighters arrived there was no sign of fire or smoke.

Hide AdThe train was allowed to travel, without any passengers onboard, to Sheffield station, where it is to be inspected this morning.
Other trains using the line were delayed but they are now running as normal again.
