Boxing: Angry Dave Coldwell hits back at Chris Eubank Snr attack
Eubank Snr had bragged about his own ring achievements in a press conference ahead of his son’s fight with Tom Doran, who is mentored by Rotherham-based
Coldwell.
Eubank belittled Coldwell’s own ring career, boasting he himself had won the world title 19 times and his rival could not compare or pass on what he had to his son. That and other personal remarks sparked bitter exchanges.

“He’s tapped. This was him wanting to make about himself and boosting his ego.
“He wants to make people think he is superior to everybody else, it shouldn’t be like that, there are so many things in his life he has screwed up.”
Sheffield-born Coldwell said he had two world champions in his gym, Doncaster’s Jamie McDonnell and Liverpool’s Tony Bellew, while Eubank had his son, who had yet to get anywhere near that level.
