First look inside new shop at Meadowhall showcasing Sheffield's best indie makers

The Independent Sheffield Shop will sell a range of goods made in the city, from artisan chocolates and freshly-ground coffee to cards, blankets and nourishing soaps.
The firms represented include Bullion Chocolate, one of the few bean-to-bar makers in the whole of the UK, which is selling goods ranging from chocolate bars to cocoa nib liqueur.

Hide AdMarsh Valley Soap is a family-run business creating goat’s milk soap which is said to be ‘super helpful for psoriasis and all-round nourishing and moisturising for the skin’.
The artist Luke Horton, who brings northern scenes and sayings to life through his signature cartoon style, is selling a range of prints, cards, mugs and homeware.
Victoria and Frances, from Yorkshire Blankets, are offering beautiful eco friendly wool blankets, along with capes, scarves and homeware, all of which is made from surplus yarn which would have gone to landfill.
And you can pick up freshly-ground coffee by Frazer’s Coffee Roasters, which is roasted on a 12kg roaster which they built from scratch using Sheffield steel.

Hide AdThose are just some of the Sheffield-made products which will be on sale at the new store, where events are also planned to celebrate the best the city has to offer.
The store is described on its Instagram account as an ‘indie wonderland’, with the team behind it thanking people in advance for ‘supporting local and shopping small’.
