Sheffield school tells students not to self-isolate over coronavirus fears despite Northern Italy trip

Pupils from Bradfield School and Rawmarsh Community School in Rotherham ran ski trips to Northern Italy over half term.
However, as neither went near the quarantined area, both have been advised by Public Health England that they can continue as normal.

Hide AdA spokesperson for the Bradfield School said: “We have contacted Public Health England and have been advised that, as the trip did not go to or near a quarantined area of Italy, there is no need to isolate anyone who went on the trip at this stage.
“Parents and carers of those attending the trip have been informed that students should continue to attend school as normal.
“Tapton School Academy Trust is issuing guidance to all parents, carers and staff, directing them to the latest Government advice.”
Yesterday three schools in Doncaster issued coronavirus warnings to parents.

Hide AdMcAuley Catholic High School in Cantley, Don Valley Academy and Hall Cross Academy all ran seperate ski trips to Italy.
Hall Cross has ordered pupils who attended the trip to the Italian ski resort of Bormio to stop at home and self isolate for 14 days.
Don Valley has said that pupils on their trip didn’t visit the affected areas of Italy.
McAuley has told those who attended their trip to be alert to symptoms.
