The popular city centre market’s last day of trading until the restrictions are lifted will be this Saturday, March 28, from 10am to 4pm.
Bosses today called on shoppers to ‘support our traders on the last few days of trade, as we still have lots of stock and bargains to be had’.

Before restrictions were imposed to curb the spread of coronavirus, the market had boasted that it had plentiful supplies of food unlike some supermarkets whose shelves were stripped bare by panic buyers.
Since Britain was placed on lockdown, those stalls selling food and other essentials have remained open and signs have been installed reminding customers to observe social distancing.
