Captain Tom Moore is living proof what we can achieve if we all pull together - letter

I was moved to tears as Captain Tom Moore finished his 100 laps of the garden.
A true Brit, a gentleman who represents all that is British, rose to the challenge to help others, without a thought for himself.

He has managed to raise £29 million for the NHS and the sum is rising.
I don’t want to hear any more influencers sending goodwill messages from their mansions, claiming their life is stressful, while the rest of us are suffering greatly.
During these difficult times, I am reminded of another heroic event that took place back in 1665-66 closer to home, in the small village of Eyam in Derbyshire.

These brave actions cost them many lives and the little village of Eyam was nearly wiped out.
However, they stood their ground for the sake of others.
Captain Tom is a fine example to us all and living proof what we can achieve if we all pull together.
