Planning expert joins rival to open new Sheffield office amid 'buoyant' property sector

Clare Plant has left DLP Planning after six years and joined York-based nineteen47. She will head up its new Sheffield office, in Acero on Sheaf Street.
The company offers planning and urban design services as well as 3D images, flythroughs and virtual reality. It already has clients in South Yorkshire and Clare will lead the team working on them, and as well as new business.

Hide AdAt DLP she rose to director, overseeing offices in Leeds and Sheffield and leading teams on developments for landowners, housebuilders, including Taylor Wimpey, and commercial investors.
She said she was thrilled to have the chance to establish the Sheffield office.
She added: “Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, the development and property sector in Sheffield continues to be buoyant, not least due to the housing shortage being experienced across the country.
“The continuing opportunities presented by development and regeneration sites in Sheffield presents significant potential for the delivery of a wide range of housing, employment and community uses across the city.
