Sheffield’s popular shopping mall Meadowhall will once again abuzz with shoppers as it prepares to welcome them back from next week when the country moves into the second step of its roadmap out of lockdown.
From April 12, non-essential stores such as Next, Zara, H&M and Primark will reopen, as well as the centre’s hairdressers, brow bars and Rock Up climbing experience.

This includes covered spaces next to the Oasis Dining Quarter and a bespoke area outside the High Street entrance, next to Argos.
However, customers must be seated while eating and follow all Government guidelines around social distancing.
The Steel Foundry Wetherspoons will also be opening an extended outdoor area for customers to enjoy seated dining in groups of up to six people or two households.

I think there’s an extra sense of enthusiasm around the lifting of the restrictions this time as we’re all optimistic for a brighter future, and I very much hope that is the case.
“It’s also a massive milestone for our retailers, and we’re looking forward to them opening their doors once again.”
Shops, hairdresses and pub beer gardens will reopen from April 12 in England but Boris Johnson warned people must not be complacent around the risks of Covid.
Mr Johnson said: “We can’t be complacent. We can see the waves of sickness affecting other countries and we have seen how this story goes.

Bars and restaurants will be allowed to serve customers outdoors, but groups will be limited to two households or by the “rule of six”.
