The Sheffield Wednesday centre half scored his first goal for two years in an FA cup third round replay across the Pennines. The Owls lost 2-1, but 6,000 travelling fans applauded the team’s effort. City’s Joey Barton and manager Stuart Pearce admitted it could have gone either way.
